Library Rules

Every bonafide student can obtain Institute Library membership. Students are issued borrower’s cards for the issue and return of books. These cards are issued upon application through a prescribed form, recommended by the Head of Department/Department in charge.

General Rules

• Limit of Books: All students may borrow up to 2 books for 15 days.
• Issue Hours for Library Books:
  (Monday to Saturday)
  10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
  2:00 P.M. – 4:30 P.M.
• Overdue Charges: ₹1.00 per day per book.
• Disciplinary Action: Students found stealing, destroying, or damaging reading materials may face suspension of library membership for six months.

Book Bank Rules

A Book Bank membership form and Borrower’s card may be obtained from the Library. Submit the completed form, recommended by the Head of Department, to the Library.

A maximum of four books are issued at a time under the Book Bank scheme.

Loss of Books

In case of damage or loss of issued books, the student must replace or pay the cost of the book(s).
